Pharmacological actions:
Piper longum stimulates the digestive enzymes, and increases activity of Amylase by 87% and Trypsin by 165 %.
Plumbago zeylanica has digestive action and increases appetite.
Zingiber officinalis increases intestinal blood flow and absorption and reduces intestinal gas formation.
Trachyspermum ammi increases HCl, bile flow and digestion.
Plumbago zeylanica has prebiotic action which renormalizes the disturbed metabolic process.
In Peptamin Tablet, Ferula asafoitida helps in flatulence.

Composition:

Peptamin Syrup contains aqueous ext. of- Pippali (Piper longum), Chitrak (Plumbago Zeylanica), Jeerak (Cuminum cyminum), Shunthi (Zingiber officinale), Kali Mirch (Piper nigrum), Lavang (Syzygium aromaticum), Krishna jeerak (Carum carvi), Ela laghu (Elettaria cardamom), Akarkara (Spilanthes oleracea), Javitri (Myristica fragrans), yavani (T. ammi), Shatpushpa (F. vulgaere), Saidhav namak (Rock salt), Bid lavan (Ammonium chloride), Sat podik (Mentha sylvestris), Nimbu swaras (Citrus juice), Syrup base q.s. Tablet also contain: Deekamali, Sea salt, Rason, Black salt, Elva, Mandoor bhasm, Kapilu pure, Heeng, Shankh bhasm, Ajwayan sat, Nrisar.

Dosage:

10 ml twice a day after meal or as directed by the physician.
